Officials from the Ultimate Showdowns Drag Racing Series are pleased to announce the addition of Atchison Machine Service as a Series Partner.
Atchison Machine was founded in 1964 by President Bob Atchison to fill the void of a quality performance machine shop in Southwestern Ontario. Originally building turnkey drag race cars as well as machining customers performance engines. Bob continued to expand the business all while maintaining his high standards in workmanship and customer satisfaction.
In the 1990’s Bob was joined in the business by his son Rob. With his father’s competitiveness Rob has also taken to drag racing with, winning three consecutive World Championships, and becoming the first IHRA Alcohol Funny Car ever to run a 5.60 (the quickest ever by a car with a roots blower). More recently Rob switched classes and now competes in the Ultimate Showdowns Pro Modified class and is the 2015 Pro Modified Champion.
Being Champions on the racetrack remains a testament to their dedication to detail, hard work, and consistency off the track. Atchison Machine occupies 4 buildings at their 132 Clarke Road location and performs machine work on all types of engines from single cylinder engines to V/12 industrial motors. Atchison Machine also Flows Fuel systems, rebuilding superchargers and manufactures quality race car components for drag racers all over the world. They are the Canadian Distributors for Lenco Racing Transmissions and Enderle Fuel Injection and a proud member of E.R.I. buying group.
